Hi, I'm Ariel Leigh Cicero! I'm an NYC native editor and writer. I believe that good stories sharply told are essential to our humanity.

I was an editor on the Rolling Stone documentary short "Luigi," which premiered at Sundance 2026 and was later featured as a Vimeo Staff Pick. Tribeca's 2026 line-up included three of my projects: "Grandmasters," spotlight documentary "The Lion Queen," and "The Man Will Burn." The latter pair will be released on HBO this summer. I was also associate editor on HBO's docuseries "Love Has Won: The Cult of Mother God." In 2023, our show ranked as the platform's most-viewed non-sports doc in three years. Currently, I am on the post team for a Netflix series.

 

My scripted AE work includes "Story Ave," produced by Jamie Foxx. The feature drama was awarded at SXSW and is streaming on Hulu and Starz. My recent scripted edits include "Day Bi Day," which was selected for Out on Film and won Best Web Series at San Francisco Queer Film Festival. The comedy short "The Tower" screened at Katra Film Series and Imagine This Women's Film Festival. I was also lead editor and a founding member of CNT Productions. 

 

Before launching into TV and film, I edited in the digital media world for five years. I created video content for the national LGBTQ non-profit GLSEN and a dozen city government agencies. I was a video producer for the NYC Mayor's Office through the pandemic, where I edited 500+ documentary shorts and PSAs for a social media audience of four million. My work aired on NY1, in Times Square, and as ad campaigns on Hulu, YouTube, Tinder, and more.
